Through my Blog, I wanna share my knowlege how to solve this puzzle. Frankly, this method is basic method and can not be used for speed Rubiks Championship. Ok, Let's go to formula.

I. Introduction

1. Introduction to Structure of Rubiks

  • 1 Rubiks consist of 6 sides
  • Each side consist of 9 cells or 9 points. They are : 1 Center Point, 4 Edge Points and 4 Corner Points
  • Center poin has only one color and its position can not be moved
  • Each Edge Point has 2 colors
  • Each Corner Point has 3 colors

2. Introduction to Step by Step

. Step 1 : make Row "1" has same color, so can make letter "T" . Look at Green color or Red Color

. Step 2 : make Row "2" has same color

. Step 3 : Switch the cube. Top become Bottom and Bottom become Top

-> Next step

  • 3a : Make a line, then
  • 3b : make letter "L" then
  • 3c : make a Cross "+"

Look at yellow color

. Step 4 : Fit the position of each Edge Point with its Center Point

  • Look at color "Red" of Edge point fits with color "Red" of Center point
  • Look at color "Green" of Edge point fits with color "Green" of Center point

. Step 5 : Finishing (Positioning and Orientation)

3. Introduction to "Positioning" & "Orientation"

Let's see "Edge Point" ! Color : Blue and Orange.

Position of this Edge Point is right, but the orientation of color is wrong.

This is called wrong orientation

Let's see "Corner Point" ! Color : Orange, Blue and White.

Position of this "Corner Point" is right, but the orientation of color is wrong.

This is called wrong orientation

4. Introduction to Symbol "Arrow" & "2"

  • Arrow means twist 90 degree
  • "2" means twist 180 degree

II. Using Formula to solve step by step

1. Step 1

Frankly, so far I do not find good formula to explain this so Row "1" has same color. Let's see Video to help

2. Step 2

A. Formula 2a.

B. Formula 2b.

 C. How to use Formula

C.1 Formula 2a

1. Put color : orange - Blue - Orange

2. Use Formula 2a, Edge Point Blue-Orange will move from bottom to left, as shown picture

3. Let's See Video to help

C.2 Formula 2b

1. Put color : Green - Red - Green

2. Use Formula 2b, Edge Point Yellow-Green will move from bottom to right, as shown picture

3. Let's See Video to help

3. Step 3

A. Formula 3.

B. How to use Formula

  • Use Formula 3 to make a "Line"
  • Use Formula 3 to make Letter "L"
  • Use Formula 3 to make a Cross "+"

Repeat formula 3 until get Cross "+" .

4. Step 4

A. Formula 4a.

B. Formula 4b.

C. How to use Formula.

C.1 Formula 4a

Use formula 4a will move 3 Edge Points as shown picture (Counter Clockwise). One Other Edge Pointe not move

C.2 Formula 4b

Use formula 4b will move 3 Edge Points as shown picture (Clockwise). One Other Edge Pointe not move

5. Step 5

A. Hint : Improve Position and then Improve Orientation

B. Formula 5a.

C. Formula 5b.

C. How to use Formula.

C.1 Improve Position

If using formula 5a :

- Corner Point "A" will not move and even its Orientation

- Corner Point B move to D, Corner Point D move to C, Corner Point C move to B

If using formula 5b :

- Corner Point "B" will not move and even its Orientation

- Corner Point A move to C, Corner Point C move to D, Corner Point C move to A

Let's see Video to help

C.2. Improve Orientation of Corner Point

Make sure Position of 4 Corner Points are Correct, then improve Orientation

1. Use Formula 4b + Formula 4a

2. Result :

  • color blue move to place of color yellow,
  • color yellow will move to place of color orange
  • color orange will move to place of color blue

  • color green move to place of color yellow,
  • color yellow will move to place of color orange
  • color orange will move to place of color green

So result as shown below.
